FAQ

  • What is the best way to make an appointment with a psychiatrist?
The best ways to make an appointment is to directly call to make an appointment at (631)-268-4321 to see if we are a good fit for your treatment. We offer a 20 minute free screening phone call to answer questions you may have about our office or the evaluation process. We are available for medication management, therapy, or a combination of both. We treat all ages.
  • Is there parking at your office location?
Yes! We are located right in Huntington Village. The building has its own parking lot and the parking is shared with the other physicians and offices in the practice. If one of the unmarked spots in unavailable you are free to use other marked spots if open for example (podiatry, dental). If all of these are filled, there is a free municipal parking lot within a 30 second walk from the office called the Gerard Street Lot. There is also very accessible street parking on Gibson Ave.
  • What kinds of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards at this time.
  • Why don't you take insurance?
We are currently an out-of-network provider. This helps us to provide the best care possible. Sometimes insurance can be an obstacle in a patient's mental health care and we want to make sure that decisions being made about your care are best for you. Speak to us directly if you have any concerns about our fees.
  • Will my insurance cover any of your care?
This is a complicated question. Many types of insurance do have out-of-network benefits. If you do have out-of-network benefits then what we do is create what is called a Superbill. This Superbill has all the medical coding required to submit to your insurance company to tap into your out-of-network benefits. Many patients are able to get a substantial part of their bill reimbursed through their out of network benefits.
  • How long does treatment last?
Treatment length is different for everyone. There are people who will only need to be seen for a few months. There are some people who will need to be seen a few years. And there is a smaller set of people who, due to the severity of their diagnosis, may require lifelong treatment. Whenever you have treatment questions , ask your doctor and they will review all of your questions and concerns.
  • What does innovative treatment mean?
